Editing Assessment Inputs

Adjust a client's responses to their assessment or edit scores based upon shifts in the market or personal sentiment

There are several scenarios by which an advisor may need to edit their client's responses to their assessment, change the scores, resend the assessment, or retake the assessment with their client.

  • "My client filled out the total net worth question incorrectly and I'd rather not have them retake the entire assessment."

  • "My client recently lost his job and would like to retake the assessment. How can I resend it to him?"

  • "The markets are making my client uneasy. How can I adjust his Risk Preference score?"

For all questions in this article, we will be on a client's profile page > under Assessments > within the Risk Assessment results page:


Edit Risk Band Scores

  1. Click the three dots in the top right corner > click Edit Scores:

  2. To change a score, click the up or down arrow to adjust > select a specific reason as to why you changed the client's risk score. This is important for compliance and Regulation BI purposes and will be disclosed on the Investment Policy Statement. Click Save when complete.

  3. After updating the Risk Preference or Risk Capacity Score > click Save & Update:

  4. You will see a Disclaimer update under the Risk Band denoting when the Risk Scores were last changed:


Edit Responses to Completed Risk Assessment

If a client doesn't want to retake the entire assessment but would like to make an update to their response, click on the Edit Assessment Inputs option in the list:

Fix the response that needs updating and click Submit & Proceed.


Retaking the Risk Assessment

To retake the risk questionnaire, click the three dots in the top right of the Risk Assessment results page > click Retake Questionnaire. The assessment will reset and the advisor can begin to input the client's answers directly in the new risk assessment.


Resend the Risk Assessment

To resend the risk questionnaire, click the three dots in the top right of the Risk Assessment results page > click Resend Assessment:

This will kickoff the Share Assessment steps as outlined in this article.


Downloading a Blank Risk Assessment

Some client's will prefer to manually fill out the risk assessment on paper. To download a blank risk questionnaire, click the three dots in the top right of the Risk Assessment results page > click Download Blank Questionnaire > save the .pdf onto your computer or print it on a local printer.
